Israeli Military Takes Control of Parts of Rafah
Israel has been accused of targeting a camp for displaced refugees in the southern Gaza town of Rafah, an area designated as a humanitarian safety zone. Aid organizations report numerous civilian casualties in the Israeli airstrike, which the military says is under review.
Two Hamas Officials Killed
According to both Israel and Hamas, the strike in Rafah killed two Hamas officials. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) stated that it is investigating the reports of civilian casualties.
